Abstract

Self-learning Chinese characters is an enriching pedagogical experience because, in short, one is a struggling pupil. On the other hand, reflecting on how to teach Chinese characters is an instructive exercise about didactical choices. With a holistic view on didactics, this reflection can be useful to develop the mathematical learning tools of the future.
